Neuromuscular Physical Therapy
Neuromuscular Physical Therapy is a hands on treatment with a distinct therapeutic philosophy to realign the Muscular Skeletal System. The treatment lasts 1 and Half hours covering the whole body. Neuromuscular Therapy may eliminate the cause of acute and Chronic myofascial, muscular or osseous (bone) pain and discomfort through the application of soft tissue manipulation, myofascial release, positional release, muscle energy techniques, cranial manipulation and trigger point therapy.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A TREATMENT
The frequencies are applied to specific tissues in the body, such as muscles, tendons and nerves, via a combination of Graphite Gloves, Moistened Towel or Electrode patches. You will be in a chair or lying down depending on the nature of your problem.
PATIENT PREPERATION
Being well Hydrated is important for our normal Bodily Functions but even more important for FSM to be effective. I would advise water intake to be 3 or 4 pints a day normally . If this isn't the case I would advise at least 1 litre of water 2 hours before treatment.
PATIENT PRECAUTIONS
Those suffering with Spinal cord Stenosis or encapsulated infections should be aware that microcurrent may temporarily increase pain.
RISK AND SIDE EFFECTS
The only common side effect occurs about 90 minutes following treatment for chronic muscle pain, when some patients can experience a detoxification reaction similar to that seen with massage therapy. This can be avoided and lessened by drinking water .Otherwise there are no known side effects or risks.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICROCURRENT AND TENS
TENS devises deliver milliamp current and blocks pain messages that are trying to get up the spine to the Brain. FSM delivers subsensory microamp current,1000 times less than milliamperage current, and 1000 times more specific. Microcurrent has been shown to increase energy production in tissues, milliamp current does not.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Demand Type Pacemakers. Pregnancy, no problems have ever been observed in a patient treated with microcurrent who was later found to have been pregnant, so this is a recommendation based on being prudent.
